Description

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust (UHD) are looking for a long term partnership that delivers a mutually beneficial service to the local population of private Oncology patients. The Dorset Cancer Centre is based at Poole and serves a 1m population, with one of the highest proportions of over 65s in the UK. It is the 14th busiest cancer centre based on patients treated list (PTL). There are good rates of PMI but no dedicated providers. With an empty linac bunker at Poole, and another at Dorchester, UHD are looking for a dedicated Oncology treatment provider to occupy the empty linac bunker at both sites where adjacent land could facilitate a dedicated private unit. University Hospitals Dorset have conducted some preliminary market engagement activity in preparation for a subsequent planned procurement notice and tender opportunity.
