Libraries seeks to replace end-of-life public IT, restores failed self-service infrastructure, upgrades library Wi-Fi, and introduces income generating digital totems across the nine-site estate, transforming the way the Council interacts with local residents through this library's investment programme. Call off Healthtrust Europe ESEE ICT 2024 Framework , Lot 1: Public access PCs are over ten years old and moving out of vendor support, so security patches can no longer be reliably deployed. Replacement removes a live information security risk and maintaining public access PCs supports the Council's delivery of a comprehensive and efficient library service under the Public Libraries and Museums Act 1964 and helps sustain the library service's universal digital access offer.
