Description

Aberdeen Heat and Power wishes to invite responses for a multi-lot framework to extend our district-heating network in Aberdeen City. Interested parties may bid for 1 or more lots, for the supply of labour and/or the supply of materials in the development of district heating in Aberdeen into new and existing building including; district heating mains, building connections, installation and civil engineer contracts as follows: 1) Carry out excavation and re-reinstatement works for district heating mains installation; 2) Install buried pre-insulated heating mains and pipe work and equipment, forming connections to buildings; 3) Supply heat network pipe and associated fittings; 4) To supply materials and equipment for new hot water central heating systems, utilising the heat network, to be installed into housing and other buildings; 5) Install central heating systems, utilising the heat network, to housing and other buildings; 6) Supply and install electrical controls, panels and wiring. Lot 1: for the installation of: Buried heat network distribution mains, forming district heating connections to buildings. Pipework and equipment installations to and within plant rooms, connecting heat source to the network. Heat sources include, but not limited to, combined heat and power generators, gas boilers. Lot 2: civil engineering work associated with buried district heating network pipe installation working to form a complete installation; including reinstatement works to make good and undertaking the role of CDM principal contractor for said works. Lot 3: for the installation of riser and lateral heat distribution mains, connected to the heat network and the installation of dwelling internal heating and hot water service systems in multi-storey blocks and other building types. Lot 4: the boiler house control and wiring works [separate contract] comprising: — supply of materials and installation of a control panel with modem connection, — supply of materials and installation of a smoke and gas detection system, — supply and installation of cable trays, conduits, supports local isolators and wiring, — supply and installation of lighting and small power sockets, — testing and commissioning of the works, — all works necessary to form a complete electrical system, including design, material supply, installation, system earth protection and system commissioning. Lot 5: for the Supply only of pre-insulated district heating pipework and associated fittings. Lot 6: to supply materials required to enable the installation of district heating systems supplying heat within buildings including but not limited to, lateral and riser pipes, heat interface units, radiators, gas boilers and associated component pats, fixtures and fittings.
