THE PROVISION OF PRINTING SERVICES

Description

HSE is seeking a supplier who can provide the goods and services. HSE is looking to put in place a 5-year agreement (initial 3-year contract with a 2-year extension option, in yearly increments). HSE has an existing "Follow Me" (FM) print (FMP) solution which has 100 Multi-Function Devices (MFD) across 26 offices supporting circa 2500 staff. For the period March 2021 to May 2022, HSE colleagues printed an average of 131,000 pieces of paper per month. Historical print volumes for the last 5 years can be found at Annex 3. HSE would like to move from an on-premises solution to a United Kingdom (UK) Cloud hosted FM print solution. HSE also requires managed consumables, full range of management information (MI), new Multi-Functional Devices (MFD) with card readers (or a suitable alternative proposed by suppliers) and PIN print release mechanisms to securely control printing. HSE is also looking for a fully project managed end-to-end deployment process for this device replacement programme. HSE is looking to lease devices on a pay per click/page model and requires suppliers to price based on the details and volumes included in this SSR. HSE is requiring devices to be sited in their current locations. HSE would like to see a business and technology transition plan to provide detail on how the supplier will implement their service and fully manage the transition. HSE also requires the successful supplier to fully manage the end-to-end Print service (e.g. print servers etc are managed and patched etc. by the supplier) and invites proposals on this.
