The RSA is seeking Tenders from interested parties with the aim of establishing a multi-party, multi-lot framework (“the Framework”) for the provision of prosecution service providers to carry out the following: • Processing cases at District Court level in relation to prosecutions and other court actions which the RSA is or may become authorised to bring, including in relation to enforcement of road transport and commercial vehicle roadworthiness legislation; • Processing applications in the District Court for the Mutual Recognition of driving disqualifications; • Representing the RSA at cases which may be subject to appeal in the Courts system; • Representing the RSA in appeals to the District Court by driver test candidates; • Obtaining District Court warrants to enable access to premises for the purposes of exercising a power by Transport Officers or authorised officers or commercial vehicle roadworthiness (CVR) inspectors, when such premises are used for road transport operations, commercial vehicle roadworthiness or tachograph workshops for the purposes of enforcement; • Prosecutions pursuant to Section 18 of the Road Traffic Act 1968 (control of driving instruction) The Framework will have 26 Lots (1 per county) with the top three scoring Tenderers in respect of each Lot admitted to the Framework under the relevant Lot. Any Framework Agreement resulting from this competition will be for a period of 48 months, with options to extend up to a total duration of 96 months.
