Description

The contracting authority intends to enter a contract for the expansion of the Navigation Simulator fleet that is currently based on the K-Sim Navigation system. The navigator simulator currently consists of 1 instructor station and 4 bridges and will, after the upgrade, have the same composition. The contract includes: — 1+8x K-Sim navigation desktop bridges, DNV GL Class C — 8x 55 inches visual monitors — reuse of the instructor station — reuse of models and areas — Reuse of practice — packing and dispatch — installation. Lot 1: This procurement is planned to be carried out as a direct procurement as the contracting authority believes that there are legal grounds in this procurement to not hold a tender competition, cf. PPR §8-18 and PPR §5-2, (1) a. Kongsberg Digital AS has the exclusive rights to source code and exclusive rights to commercial sale of software developed for K-Sim Navigation. Kristiansund Vocational College (fik), has investigated if there are other potential tenderers. There is only tenderer in the market who delivers upgrading/expansion of Kongsberg K-Sim Engine simulator. The provision for signing a contract is thereby considered to be met.
