H3AT-Gloveboxes

Description

UKAEA wishes to engage with contractors capable of finalising the design of 15-off non-nuclear type gloveboxes and all process equipment to be integrated within to deliver sub-assemblies of four systems. The 15 gloveboxes are responsible for the secondary containment of the interconnecting process equipment that make up SDS, TVS, HPS and ANS. The Contractor is responsible for taking the detailed process design and developing it into a design for manufacture that optimises the manufacturability, operability, and maintainability of the gloveboxes and all the process equipment within. The H3AT Facility Tritium Plant consists of the following sub-systems: • In scope - Storage and Delivery System [SDS] • In scope - Tokamak Vacuum Simulation [TVS] • In scope - Hydrogen Chemical Purification System [HPS] • Out of scope - Hydrogen Isotope Separation System (deemed collaborative contract development) [ISS] • Out of scope - Water Detritiation System (deemed collaborative contract development) [WDS] • Out of scope - Atmosphere Detritiation System [ADS] • In scope - Chemical and Isotope Analysis of Gaseous Mixtures System [ANS] • Out of scope - Radiological and Hazardous Gas Monitoring System [RGM] The 15 gloveboxes are responsible for the secondary containment of the interconnecting process equipment that make up SDS, TVS, HPS and ANS.
