Description

The overarching objective of the procurement was to source a Level 1 Community Physiotherapy Service provider/s to deliver a community physiotherapy service for the population of Milton Keynes that offers patient choice, improvements in quality of life, and individual patient centered treatment. This service will deliver care for patients registered with a GP in Milton Keynes that encourages closer working relations with referrers and enables a more flexible and responsive service. The service will provide an alternative to hospital based treatment for the majority of patients being referred by GP’s for level 1 Community Physiotherapy supporting the CCG’s strategy to move care closer to home. Patients requiring more complex MSK services will be referred to the Integrated Musculo-Skeletal and Pain Management Service (IMSK) or the acute hospital when there is a need for hospital based specialist services. The contract for the Level 1 Community Physiotherapy Service in Milton Keynes is for 3 years with a possible option to extend for a further year. The contract will commenced on 1.2.2018.
