The Council is required to purchase 70 hybrid passenger vehicles to support Home Support and Social Work locality centres, replacing ageing fleet assets currently in operation that were first registered between 2013 and 2016. This investment represents a planned renewal of vehicles that have reached, or are approaching, the end of their optimal operational life, ensuring continued service reliability, improved efficiency, and alignment with the Council’s sustainability objectives through the introduction of lower-emission hybrid technology.
