TENDER TO APPOINT A PROVIDER TO PROVIDE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING SUPPORT TO ARMAGH, BANBRIDGE AND CRAIGAVON COMMUNITY PLANNING PARTNERSHIP

Armagh Banbridge and Craigavon Community Planning Partnership adopted its Community Engagement Strategy in 2019. The community engagement strategy aims to: • enhance our community engagement through agreed standards, defined roles and clear actions. • maximise opportunities for people to be more involved and have a meaningful say in decisions which affect their lives. Through the strategy the partnership committed itself to piloting democratic innovations such as Participatory Budgeting and launched its first PB project “Tak£500 Your Community, Your Voice, Your Choice!” in September 2020. The partnership held two roundtable events in November 2021 and March 2022 to determine the strategic direction and next steps for PB in the borough and the Community Planning Strategic Partnership has endorsed the recommendations from this process. The recommendations were to commit to PB grant making on an annual basis and a second PB Project Tak£500+ was launched in September 2022.
