Description

The proposed site investigation works are proposed to determine the ground and groundwater conditions for proposed flood defences and public amenities on the South Campshire. The site investigation works are also intended to confirm the location of utilities at the site, including gas mains and underground electricity cables. Intrusive ground investigation works shall comprise of slit trenches and cable percussion boreholes, with rotary core follow on in several locations, and installation of groundwater standpipes. The scope of works includes the following: Cable percussive boreholes, Cable percussive boreholes with rotary core follow-on, Installation of standpipes for groundwater level monitoring, Slit trenches in paved/cobbled areas and crossing roads, Electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) surveys, In situ testing, Laboratory testing and Production of factual reports and AGS data. The proposed site investigation works are within paved, cobbled and surfaced areas.
