18/1334 Garmouth Viaduct Removal

Description

Removal of the collapsed Garmouth Viaduct from the River Spey in Moray. Lot 1: Garmouth Viaduct is a 7-span structure over the River Spey, previously used as a railway line but more recently as a pedestrian and cycle route. In December 2025, one of the supporting columns collapsed into the river. Span 2 and span 3 of the structure are lying in an unsafe condition in the River Spey and require removal. Once removed the failed spans are to be cut into smaller pieces and removed from the site to a suitable recycling facility. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 8 and 9 of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016.
