SONI has the responsibility as the transmission system operator (TSO) under its license to plan the network and develop the transmission network to complete all the relevant activities (‘pre-construction’) to enable Northern Ireland Electricity, the transmission asset owner (TAO), to complete the construction and connection to the grid. As a part of the development role SONI requires the services of multiple specialist consultants to assist with the development of the Northern Ireland Electricity Transmission System Assets based on customer and network requirements. SONI intends to establish a single vendor framework per Lot for the provision of these services. SONI has undertaking this Procurement exercise and has identified a single vendor for each applicable Lot. Lot 1 relates to Advice on Project Feasibility — Pre-construction development of Transmission Assets.
