LiveWest Energy Efficiency Retrofit Contracts

Description

LiveWest has appointed Cardo Ltd to deliver Energy Efficiency Retrofit works for Lot 1 (Cornwall) and Lot 3 (North Devon and South Somerset). Ian Williams Ltd has been appointed to deliver Lot 2 (South Devon) and Lot 4 (Bristol, Bath and the West of England). Each contract has a potential duration of up to 15 years, comprising an initial 5-year term with two optional 5-year extensions. The contracts were procured through a Competitive Dialogue procedure in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. This approach enabled LiveWest to refine the scope, delivery model and commercial structure to ensure best value, quality, and collaborative working throughout the programme. These appointments will support LiveWest’s programme to improve the energy efficiency of homes across the Southwest, bringing properties currently below EPC C up to the EPC C standard. Lot 1: Energy Efficiency Retrofit Works - Cornwall Lot 1 will cover Energy Efficiency Retrofit work across Cornwall. Expected work under the contract will include Insulations works; (EWI/IWI/Cavity/Loft/Suspended Floors/Room in Roof/Flat Roof Insulation/Cavity wall extraction (where applicable)), A++ windows/triple glazed and doors replacements. Roof replacements incorporating new insulation, Energy efficient condensing gas Boilers with A+ efficiency rating, Solar/PV panel system with Battery Storage, Air Source Heat Pumps, Ground Source Heat Pumps, Combined Heat and Power Systems (CHP), District Heating, Infrared Heating, High Heat Retention Storage Heaters, Electric Boilers, Hybrid Heat Pumps (Hydrogen boilers combined with electrically driven heat pumps), MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery), Smart Technology.
