Furniture Replacement - Future Spaces

Description

Procurement for the supply and delivery of furniture connected with the Future Spaces refurbishment project. Lot 1: Future Spaces is a refurbishment project that aims to modernise existing areas within the QMU campus. The current phase of works will target the Creative Learning Space and the Learning Resource Centre (LRC). Impetus for the project can be attributed to changes in equipment, technology, academic portfolio, and teach pedagogy impacting on the functional suitability of the current arrangements. This risk’s limiting the realisation of a richer educational experience and leading to sub-optimal design and delivery of learning and teaching. Following review and consultation, opportunities were identified that would optimise space utilisation in areas included within the scope of the project. It was evident that the adaptations and works proposed would enhance the student experience at the University, particularly in relation to current and future requirement. The supply and installation of new Furniture, Fixings and Equipment (FF&E) makes up a vital component of the refurbishment and should be delivered in conjunction with the broader project timeline.
