The Provision of a Biometrics Solution for Passenger Enrolment and Reconciliation

As part of the Transformation of Manchester Airport and the development of our passenger terminal infrastructure, MAG had a requirement to deliver a biometrics solution with supporting hardware, implementing the processes and systems required to protect the UK borders and customs from any threatened breach which could otherwise exist from International, UK Domestic, Common Travel Area (CTA) and transferring passengers. MAG sought a Biometrics solutions provider who could meet the requirements initially for our Terminal 2 Transformation at Manchester, providing a capability that can achieve biometric reconciliation against enrolment profile, with the success rates and to the timescales outlined in the Procurement Documentation. Lot 1: A negotiated procedure was followed with an initial down selection at PQQ stage. Successful bidders were taken through to the ITN stage and one suppler was awarded the Framework to deliver a passenger flow solution to MAG.
