GB-Colchester: 0432 - General Building Works for Housing Stock

Colchester Borough Homes (the Authority) on behalf of Colchester City Council (the Council) wishes to commission two contractors who will be required to undertake as part of this contract but is not limited to the following: •Structural repairs •HHSRS safety works •Concrete works to paths and hardstanding's •Surface upgrades to steps and stairs •Roof repairs/renewals •External decorations/finishes •Internal decorations/finishes •Carpentry •Brickwork repairs / repointing / replacement The Contractors should be aware that there is no minimum or maximum value of works instruction, and in most cases the instructions are likely to be less than £1,000 in value. The total contract value is to be circa £1,000,000 per annum, however as this is a calling off contract there shall be no guarantee of any amount of works. Further details of the requirements can be found in the accompanying documents. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement. The contract period stated is indicative and bidders should confirm in their response the preferred contract start date which will be subject to award and implementation. This is an initial 1 year appointment with the option to extend for a further 3 years, subject to performance.
