The Maths Recovery Programme run by the Maths Recovery Council UK and Ireland Ltd prepares teachers to approach mathematics instruction in a new way. It emphasises ongoing assessment, careful observation, gauging student’s current knowledge and strategies, and building on them to increase the student’s knowledge, attainment and self-confidence in mathematics. Lot 1: The Maths Recovery Programme run by the Maths Recovery Council UK and Ireland Ltd prepares teachers to approach mathematics instruction in a new way. It emphasises ongoing assessment, careful observation, gauging student’s current knowledge and strategies, and building on them to increase the student’s knowledge, attainment and self-confidence in mathematics. Teaching materials that complement this training, known as Maths Recovery Kits have been created with the guidance and approval of the Maths Recovery Council UK. They provide the essential resources needed to run maths intervention programmes in Council Primary Schools.
