Legal advisory services for staff

Description

The object of the invitation to tender is to provide legal advisory services to EUIPO employees (officials and other agents, national experts and trainees) who request them, regarding any personal matter that may arise affecting them or their family members. The legal advisory services will include: — legal advising to EUIPO staff, in particular regarding civil law and private international law (especially contractual regulations, rights in rem, family and inheritances), real estate law, tax law (especially tax resident and non-resident status), administrative law (especially immigration, traffic and Social Security law), regional legislation of the Valencian Community and local Alicante regulations. These consultations can never relate to work, statutory or contractual issues between staff and the EUIPO, — legal advising to the EUIPO for general matters related to the application of Spanish law (especially on tax, labour and administrative matters) and the Headquarters Agreement between the Kingdom of Spain and the EUIPO and Protocol number 7 on Privileges and Immunities of the EU annexed to the Treaties. Advisory services on matters concerning any kind of relationships between the staff and the EUIPO are excluded, as well as institutional or labour advisory services related (concretely or potentially) to judicial, mediation, conciliation or arbitration procedures, irrespective of whether the EUIPO is a party in those procedures, — assistance to the EUIPO, upon request from the Human Resources Department, in the preparation of guides, models, instructions, sheets or presentations related to the information acquired by the contractor during the performance of the contract.
