Procurement of evacuation light fixtures for road tunnels

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration, Operations and Maintenance (hereafter called the contracting authority), would like tenders for the delivery of evacuation light fixtures with batteries for establishment in road tunnels. The evacuation light fixtures that are offered must have a built-in battery or battery box for fixtures. The aim of the procurement is to fulfil the Tunnel Safety Regulations and the obligations in the EEA agreement. As a minimum measure, agreement has been made with ESA that evacuation lights can be installed every 25 metres as an aversion measure until tunnels are fully upgraded to comply with the Tunnel Safety Regulations. Evacuation lights must be assembled with a battery backup in relevant tunnels where there is no uninterrupted power supply (UPS).
