DAFM is now seeking to conduct a market sounding consultation process to determine the level of interest in tendering for a contract to slaughter bovine animals of less than 200 kilograms that must be disposed of on foot of the TB testing process on farms around the country. Animals would be required to be slaughtered throughout the year. There is estimated to be a requirement to slaughter circa 2,000 animals in a calendar year.
