Trøndelag County (TRFK) is the contracting authority for this procurement. The contracting authority hereby invites tenderers to an open tender contest in connection with the procurement of a Mapping Study: Residual raw materials in Trøndelag, occurrences and status of usage areas, blue and green value chains. Lot 1: Bioeconomy in Trøndelag - residual raw materials Trøndelag is in a special position, with significant resources and good expertise within the industries in the blue and green sector; fishing, aquaculture, agriculture, reindeer husbandry and forestry. In order to ensure future value creation and employment, natural resources must be used efficiently and in a sustainable manner. Refinement of residual raw materials - materials that are not the primary product when raw materials are processed - will be important for ensuring increased value creation and further development of the bioeconomy. The SINTEF report Possibilities for increased value creation through collaboration between aquaculture, agriculture and forestry industries in Trøndelag (2020) points out the possibilities for value creation across the sectors. Increased utilisation of residual raw materials is highlighted as one of the realms of possibility. Therefore, an updated overview of the occurrence of residual raw materials from the blue and green sector (stakeholders, types of residual raw materials; amounts and quality), as well as the status of the relevant areas of use, is desired for Trøndelag. This will make it easier to discuss the region's potential for value creation of residual raw materials, map any symbioses within and between the sectors (circular bioeconomy), as well as clarify which challenges are present.
