Website Design and Content Management

Published

Description

The Courts Service wishes to engage a supplier to assist in the redesign of several existing informational websites the first of which is ISIS (www.irishsentencing.ie). The purpose of this site is to provide information on sentences and other penalties imposed for offences in criminal proceedings, which may inform judges when considering the sentence to be imposed in an individual case. The site is available to the public and may also be used by legal researchers, members of the public etc. Suppliers should respond with a proposal and costs based on the Courts Service expectation that the redesign will be a small project carried out over a short time period i.e the costs should be based on the provision of a suitable resource for a period of four to six weeks maximum. The current site has been implemented using a Lotus Notes client to manage specific case information but general information content is principally managed through the web using a customised content management system. It is intended that links to the existing Lotus Notes data sources will be maintained in the new site and the Courts Service envisage that the redeveloped site may be implemented in a content management framework which may be open source and Courts Service staff will maintain the content.
