Pedestrian/Cycle Bridge, New Bridge, Navan, Co Meath

Description

The proposed scheme will involve the following: - The construction of a new 4 metre wide cycle/pedestrian structural steel bridge over the River Boyne, cantilevered from the existing New Bridge masonry stone arch bridge. - The completion of piling works within the existing piers of the New Bridge masonry stone arch structure. - The construction of a new shared cyclist/pedestrian surface, of varying width due to existing constraints, along the R153 Kentstown Road. - The construction of new road surface, footpaths and raised tables pedestrian crossings alog the R153 Kentstown Road with associated line markings and signage. - The introduction of a signalised pedestrian crossings on each arm of the R147/R153/Timmons Hill junction, including the realignment of existing kerbs and splitter islands. - The upgrade of public lighting, traffic signals and CCTV for the Works. - And all associated works.
