Fresh fruit, vegetables, berries, and fresh fish and shellfish

The contracting authority has entered into a framework agreement for the procurement of fresh fruit, fresh berries, fresh vegetables and freshly processed vegetables, as well as fresh fish and fresh shellfish. The contracting authority’s kitchen and catering entities (central kitchen, service kitchen at nursing homes/institutions and canteens) as well as most nurseries and wraparound care will be the primary users of this framework agreement, but delivery is to be made to all of the contracting authority’s organisations as requested. The framework agreement to be signed will be ‘non exclusive’ as the contracting authority (Fredrikstad Municipality) has a framework agreement for internet based groceries and these can deliver the same products. The framework agreement for internet based groceries is intended for organisations that have a need for small orders of groceries, fruit and vegetables, broken packages and quick delivery. It is the orderers' needs and an assessment of what is most appropriate that will determine where the procurement is made. The contracting authority retains the right to make procurements outside of the contract when the objective is education, work training and/or other special needs of the contracting authority. Fredrikstad Municipality's cafe in the St. Croix house reserves the right to buy fruit and vegetables directly from farms in the local environment/local area in season. The cafe is a vegetarian cafe and has a profile where the use of local/locally grown products from local farms will be used in the marketing of the cafe's menu.
