This contract is for the provision of new fencing and gates to reduce the incursions of motorcycles and powered scooters primarily on the main footpath and cycle way running along the former track of the railway line passing through the Smestow Valley Local Nature Reserve. The works proposed should reduce the danger of incursions from powered vehicles designed for highway use for all users of the Local Nature Reserve including those with sight, hearing and ambulatory issues.
