Description

The equipment is a fully shielded X-ray apparatus to be used for radiobiological experiments with irradiation of cells and small animals. The system should fulfil the following specifications: Contain a X-ray tube of at least 300 kV able to deliver a vertical and horizontal X-ray beam with a dose-rate of 5and 3 Gy/min respectively in a water phantom at 3 and 6 cm depth, respectively. The dose-homogeneity should be less than 2 % for a 10 X 10 cm field, and less than 10 % for 20x20 cm field size. The system should be water cooled. The system must be fully shielded in a lead cabinet, not larger than it can be placed (including power generator and cooling system) and operated in the designated room (230 x 180 cm). The system should be delivered and installed by ultimo March 2019. It is a Contract concerning X-ray radiator and cabinet for experimental radiotherapy to be used in experimental clinical trials with irradiation of cells and small animals.
