Technical Assistance to Support the Implementation of Municipal Water Infrastructures in Turkey

Description

The objective of this technical assistance is to assist ILLER BANKASI A.S. (ILBANK) in the preparation and implementation of priority investment sub-projects for the municipalities and utility companies in the target provinces of the Republic of Turkey with the aim to provide essential water and sanitation services. The services include the monitoring, support to supervision for the works contracts and the reporting on implementation of the sub-projects. The TA also aims to strengthen the technical, financial and due diligence capacity of ILBANK, the municipalities and water utilities in preparing technically and financially viable Investment Projects in line with EIB standards, through capacity building activities Lot 1: Please see tender documents available at the internet address provided in Section I.3). The TA is financed by the EU's Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II). It is launched with a suspensive clause linked to the availability of funds and the signature of a cooperation agreement between the EIB and the promoter.
