The section is increasingly using micro-array methodology as routine diagnostics. From 2019, this method has been an obligatory diagnostics analysis for the study of various leukaemia, ie. ALL and AML. The section is increasingly using micro-array methodology as routine diagnostics. From 2019, this method has been an obligatory diagnostics analysis for the study of various leukaemia, i.e. ALL and AML. The section already implements the analysis for patients in our institution (Oslo University Hospital Trust] and leukaemia from other institutions and in the future will implement this analysis for more patients. Based on this information the scanner capacity must increase without changing the chip technology. These chips are specifically designed to cover the genes/the regions of interest described in the HOPHO protocol All2Gether for ALL. The scanner must have a laser-induced fluorescence scanning solution designed to read micro-arrays pressed on standard 1 inch with 3 inch glass, with an solution of at least 2 um. The instrument must also measure the fluorescence intensity to two dyes (~ 532 nm and ~ 633 nm) simultaneously from labelled sample nucleic acid bound to micro-arrays. The system must increase productivity with continuous loading from at least 24-slide cassette and automatically loading data files into an analysis software. The instrument must be built with an ozone protection method to minimise signal deterioration. The department prefers scanning with OGT technology and OGT slides.
