Debt Management & Diligence Services

Description

The contract will be utilised by Finance and Corporate Resources, Finance (Transactions) Services who will be the lead Resource in relation to debt recovery and diligence services in respect of Council Tax, Non-Domestic Rates including Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), Housing Benefit Overpayment, Sundry Debts, Lockups and Factoring. Housing Services will use the contract for Former Tenants Arrears, and Community and Enterprise Resources for Penalty Charge Notices. Lot 1: South Lanarkshire Council (“the Council”) has an ongoing requirement to procure a suitable provider to conduct Debt Management & Diligence Services which includes Debt Recovery and Sheriff Officer Services. The contractor will be responsible for timeous, effective and accurate collection of debt using effective diligence methods which comply with the appropriate legislation and instructions from the Council in order to maximise their collection rate..
