The aim of the procurement is to cover the contracting authority's need for a supply source of wool clothing and wool products through the establishment of three framework agreements. Lot 1: Wool terry and wool mesh Lot 2: Thin wool Lot 3: Socks The wool clothing must be robust and suitable for the use by the Norwegian Armed Forces. Lot 1: Lot 1 wool terry and wool mesh The purpose of the framework agreement is to cover the contracting authority’s need for a supply source for various wool clothing through the establishment of a framework agreement. The contract covers the delivery of wool terry 200g, wool terry 400g, and wool mesh. The wool clothing must be robust and suitable for the use by the Norwegian Armed Forces. The wool clothing is used by men and women in all branches of the Norwegian Armed Forces. The articles are used in combination as a layer-on-layer concept and individually for different climate conditions. The items are used in daily service and in the field. Daily service can consist of, amongst other things: Combat exercises with a high level of activity, movements with and without a rucksack, shooting, bivouacking, training in the treatment and transportation of wounded persons and workouts. Lot 2: Lot 2 thin wool The purpose of the framework agreement is to cover the contracting authority’s need for a supply source for various wool clothing through the establishment of a framework agreement. The contract covers the delivery of various headgear in thin wool, and various underwear in thin wool. The wool clothing must be robust and suitable for the use by the Norwegian Armed Forces. Headgear is used by men and women in all branches of the Norwegian Armed Forces. The articles are used both as an outer layer and together with the Norwegian Armed Forces' helmet, hats, face masks, and snow goggles. The articles are used in combination with the Norwegian Armed Forces’ mesh underwear and underwear in 200g wool terry, both as a layer-on-layer concept and individually for different climate conditions. In addition outer layers and stronger insulation layers are used if needed. The items are used as an inner layer in the field, but can be used as an outer layer. The articles are worn next to the body in the field and in daily service. Daily service can consist of, amongst other things: Combat exercises with a high level of activity, movements with and without a rucksack, shooting, bivouacking, training in the treatment and transportation of wounded persons and workouts. The list is not exhaustive. Lot 3: Lot 3 socks The objective of the framework agreement is to cover the contracting authority’s need for a supply source for various socks through the establishment of a framework agreement. The contract covers the delivery of various socks for different purposes, cf. Annexes B-1A, B1-B, B-1C, and B-1D (Requirements Specification). The wool socks must be robust and suitable for use by the Norwegian Armed Forces. SOCKS, WOOL, TECHNICAL, BLACK, used by all branches of the Norwegian Armed Forces in combination with field uniform and field boots. The socks can be used together with grey wool socks as reinforcement if required. SOCKS, WOOL, TECHNICAL, HOT CLIMATE, KHAKI, used by all branches of the Norwegian Armed Forces together with field uniform and field boots, and are designed for use in hot climates. The socks are used in hot and dry climates (desert) and hot and humid climate (tropics). The article is a technical sock that can be used year round. SOCKS, WOOL, TERRY, GREY, used by all branches of the Norwegian Armed Forces together with field uniforms and field boots. The socks are often used as the only sock, and as padding between FIELD BOOT M/77 and the foot. The above-mentioned socks are used in daily service and in the field. Daily service can consist of, amongst other things: Combat exercises with a high level of activity, movements with and without a rucksack, shooting, bivouacking, training in the treatment and transportation of wounded persons and workouts. The list is not exhaustive. SOCKS, WOOL, SHORT, BLACK/WHITE, used year round and are thin wool socks for use in low uniform shoes. Black socks are used daily be al branches of the Norwegian Armed Forces with uniform shoes for service uniforms and gala uniforms. White socks are a shorter model that are used together with uniform shoes for the Navy's white parade uniform. The above-mentioned are used in daily office service and for gala/parades.
