CPU 7375 Provision of Pipework Inspection, Renewal and Repair of Water Services

Pipework Inspection, Renewal and Repair of Water Services (mains water) Background to the Requirement The successful contractor is expected to carry out repairs (and or replacements) to pipework and services association with the supply of water to and within Council owned stock / HRA land. This includes stop taps, point of entries and underground pipework. Some of the work will be in response to section 75 notices received by the local water authority (Severn Trent Water). These will need investigating and rectifying within the prescribed timescales. We also require the Contractor to liaise with STW or other local water authority to confirm findings or remedial work undertaken in relation to the Section 75. If the fault is found to be a non-Council managed property or non HRA land i.e. private owner occupier then the Contractor is expected to inform Nottingham City Council, the tenant, the owner occupier as well as the local water authority. Project Objectives The Contractor is required to undertake the provision of the below services on behalf of Nottingham City Council Housing Services • Leak Detection, Repair of Water Services and Pipework Renewal. • Carry out free surveys at various NCC managed Sites/ Properties to assess and determine the works to be performed. • Work on many types of projects, from small water leaks to large burst pipes that have flooded and lifted main roads. • Perform the repair or renew burst and damaged water supply pipes. • Work where required alongside local authorities, Severn Trent Water and insurance companies. The works to be performed is to include but is not limited to; • Repair to underground water service • Renewal of water service up to 4 meters trenchless • Renewal of water service from 4-12 meters trenchless • Renewal of water service up to 20 meters trenchless • New point of entry • Any works outside scope to be priced individually with quotation being provided Keywords: works related to water distribution pipeline, water works , water mains, underwater pipeline
