A specialist contact lens service for the people of Wakefield District Health and Care Partnership. This service provides customised fitting and care for individuals with complex eye conditions or prescriptions that standard lenses cannot address. Using advanced technology such as detailed corneal mapping with up to 350,000 data points, experts can fit specialist lenses including sclerals and rigid gas permeables, supporting conditions such as keratoconus, severe dry eye, and post-surgical corneal changes. Lot 1: The Contract Authority; NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board intends to award a contract to an existing provider following Direct Award Process C. The authority is publishing this notice in Find a Tender in accordance with the NHS Provider Selection Regime. Community Specialist Contact Len Service (SCL) - Wakefield The contract is zero value, based on activity. Maximum contract value is £473,000. Contract Term: 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2031 (3+2 years) Additional information: This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 or the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the Standstill Period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 7 April 2026.
