MRI machine 1.5 Tesla for Vestre Viken Hospital Trust

The contracting authority would like tenders for an MRI machine, 1.5 Tesla for Vestre Viken Hospital Trust. The MRI machine will be used for admitted and outpatient patients at Kongsberg Hospital, and patients that are being treated/followed up at Drammen Hospital, and other outpatient patients within the following areas; abdomen and pelvis, orthopaedics, neurology, angiography, and oncology. The MRI laboratory at Kongsberg Hospital will cooperate with the MRI section at Drammen Hospital. A complete MRI machine is needed with modern acceleration techniques that allow high quality examinations with the least amount of strain on the patient. It must be possible to further develop the MRI machine for research use with, amongst other things, fMRI. The machine must stand in a middle floor, with patient treatment in the floors above and below.
