Vestre Viken has roughly 35 ambulances in daily operation, and for emergency preparedness reasons we are dependent on having standardised fastening systems that allow stretchers and incubators to be used and transported in all of our ambulances. We have standard Stryker stretchers and mounting brackets in all of our vehicles. We have incubators in all four of our hospitals that have chassis adapted to Stryker's fastening system in the vehicles, and all vehicles must be able to transport incubators. Other stretcher systems have different dimensions, which may mean that we have to alter the interior system in our vehicles if we choose another stretcher manufacturer. Therefore, we would like to be able to purchase Stryker electric stretchers for the next ambulances. The agreement will be a framework agreement with a duration of two years, subject to Sykehusinnkjøp entering into a national framework agreement that covers our needs. The waiting period is 10 days after the announcement.
