Step into Health Services

Description

NHS England is seeking to appoint a supplier to deliver the Step into Health programme, a national workforce support service designed to support members of the Armed Forces community, including service leavers, veterans and their family members, into employment within the NHS. The programme will provide a comprehensive range of services including employer engagement, candidate support, recruitment pathways, career guidance, mentoring, work placements, communications and outreach activities, stakeholder engagement, and the operation of a dedicated candidate management system. The service will work collaboratively with NHS organisations, the Ministry of Defence, the Career Transition Partnership, military charities and other key stakeholders to promote NHS career opportunities, reduce barriers to employment, widen participation, and support Armed Forces community members in securing sustainable careers within the NHS. The programme will also support NHS employers to adopt Armed Forces-friendly recruitment practices, achieve Defence Employer Recognition Awards, and contribute to NHS workforce supply objectives while supporting NHS England's commitments under the Armed Forces Covenant.
