Innlandet County Library is a regional development and competence centre for the County's libraries, and will, among other things, ensure the residents of Innlandet County access to e-media and digital resources. The County Library is organising the work with e-media through a consortium comprising all of the County's public libraries and libraries at sixth form colleges. The administration of the common budget, lending recommendations and cooperation are carried out by the county library, while a major part of the purchase is carried out by a purchasing group consisting of employees at public and sixth form colleges libraries. The County shall enter into a framework agreement for the purchase of e-books and audiobooks, together with a purchasing system for purchasing e-literature where the customer's employees can both buy e-literature, keep track of budget and status of licences. The contracting authority currently has BookBites as the technical platform for lending.
