Description

Drayton Manor High School opened in November 1930 as a traditional grammar school inspired by the Public Schools of the 19th century and by the Education Act of 1902. The school building was built on the site of Hanwell Park House, land that was then owned by the local historian Sir Montague Sharpe. After the Second World War, as teachers returned from the services, the new ideas of the Education Act of 1944 gave rise to a feeling of a better system of education for all and this was the start of a major expansion of the school which lasted until 1974. Soon afterwards, the school transformed into a comprehensive school. The school celebrates its 89th anniversary in November 2017 and continues to flourish as a well-equipped, co-educational comprehensive school with Academy status for students aged 11-19. The school promotes the maximum development of individual students’ talents and potential within a tolerant and caring community. Work with the School to pursue inventive new ideas for the delivery of quality meals. Students must be able to feel the offer is value for money together with food being well balanced, fresh and nutritional. Drayton Manor School place huge importance to providing our students and staff with healthy, nutritious food. The offer should include all styles of menu including a wide range of vegetarian and international dishes. To ensure the continued commitment to healthy eating, vegetarian cuisine, fair trade and local sourcing. This must include the quality, variety, presentation and merchandising of the food and continued support of the existing catering team. Maintain and develop the “restaurant culture” in the School ensuring that students eat a range of different foods, making healthy and informed choices, eating as a social activity, open to trying new foods etc. To work with the School to provide an environment to support the change. Provide an all day service to staff, parents / guardians and visitors; hot and cold drinks and snacks available to purchase. Provide high quality, reasonably priced catering for parent events and meetings held on site. Provide as and when and by event a Hospitality Proposal and Price for both external hirers and internal events at the school. To enter into an Agreement that rewards The Contractor for continual improvements in their financial and operational performance as well as passing on any financial benefits to the School over and above any agreed guarantees.
