Description

Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board WWETB) (the “Contracting Authority”) invites tenders (“Tenders”) to this Request for Tenders (“RFT”) from economic operators (“Tenderers”) for the appointment to a Multi-Party Supplier Framework Agreement for the Supply of Automotive, HGV and Agricultural Vehicle Course Consumables in Appendix 1 to this RFT (the “Supplies”). This public procurement competition relates to the establishment of a Multi- Party Supplier Framework ("Framework") for the Provision of Automotive, HGV and Agriculture Vehicle Consumables primarily in the WWETB Training Centres. WWETB run Apprenticeship Training Programmes for Motor Mechanics, Agricultural Mechanics, Vehicle Body Repairs, and Heavy Vehicle Mechanics under Phase 2 of the Apprentice Training Programmes. Appendix 2 lists the primary requirements for consumable materials for the courses. The quantities required will vary depending on usage, wear and tear etc., the list is based on Phase 2 requirements at this time and may in time be subject to some additions or omissions. It is important to note that the equipment must be fit for purpose meeting the requirements of the Motor & HGV Mechanic/Agric Mechanic Instructors delivering training to Apprentices/students in a trainee workshop environment. This list is not exhaustive. It is the intention of the Contracting Authority to establish a Multi-Supplier Framework from which call-off contracts by ‘request for quotes’ will be run by the training centres as requirements arise over the lifetime of the Framework. Indeed, the Contracting Authority reserves the right to operate outside of the framework agreement at its discretion; particularly should it become apparent that doing so would offer greater value for money. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the framework agreement approach has been adopted to leverage efficiencies and maximise cost savings over the duration of the framework.
