Søndre Helgeland Miljøverk IKS, hereafter called SHMIL, is required by the County Governor in Nordland to purify leachate from its own landfill located at Åremma in Vefsn kommune. SHMIL has worked to develop their own purification solution, but eventually we have changed our strategy in this area. Relatively speaking, there are very few parties who have the necessary competence in this field. A market survey has been carried out to see who can quickly deliver a purification solution for our leachate. The area where the leachate shall be purified has very limited space, and there is a running creek that is not connected to the water to be purified through the same area. These limitations exclude several purifying methods. It is also anticipated that the existing developed infrastructure shall be integrated and used in the new purifying solution. From a comprehensive evaluation, SHMIL has found that there is one relevant service provider, MIVANOR AS, who can deliver a purifying solution suitable for our area and need based on short deadlines and quality requirements.
