GridION long-read sequencing system for Stavanger Hospital Trust

Description

GridION long-read sequencing instrument, software licence, and guarantee/full service, as well as instrument-dependent consumables (reagents/kits and flow cells). Lot 1: The Department of Medical Microbiology at Stavanger University Hospital intends to purchase an instrument for real-time sequencing, more specifically, a GridION from Oxford Nanopore Technologies plc. The GridION Mk1 starter pack, that will be procured, includes the sequencing instrument, insurance, flow cells, reagents/kits, and a 12 month software licence and equipment guarantee (equivalent to full service). In addition the contract will include two extra years of software licence and guarantee, as well as an option to renew it for a further 7 years. The procurement will also lead to increased consumption of equipment-dependent flow cells and reagents/kits, estimated to USD 16,000 a year from the 2nd year. These are included in the calculations of the total value for the procurement. The stated total value of the contract includes GridION Mk1 starter pack, delivery costs, 2 extra years of a software licence and equipment guarantee (full service), option for a software licence and equipment guarantee for a further 7 years, and equipment-dependent consumables for the equipment's lifetime.
