School catering services

Description

The successful tenderer will be required to provide catering services at Wolverhampton Girls' High School. The initial period is from 11.4.2016 to 31.8.2019, with the option of a 2 year extension. The catering service provision at Wolverhampton Girls' High School has not been market tested in recent years and to ensure Best Value principles are applied the Head Teacher and School Governors have made a decision to tender the catering service. Current roll numbers are 783 including 229 6th form students. Please note that this is an all-girls high school and this should be considered when reviewing and considering the food offer. In addition to this there are 100 teaching and support staff. Current turnover figures are circa 140 000 GBP-150 000 GBP per annum and it should be noted that the School has a very stringent gated policy for non-6th formers. Current uptake levels are above 50 % and the School firmly believes that with improved choice and quality there is a real opportunity to increase this level of uptake. For the avoidance of doubt TUPE Regulations will apply to this contract.
