Description

The requirement here is for a Service Provider to provide a service to recover for re-use unwanted furniture, white goods, mixed electrical appliances and bicycles at Baldovie HWRC; accepting and sorting donated bulky waste to maximise re-use and minimise the amount to be recycled or incinerated. As part of the contract, we would also require a reuse container at our Riverside HWRC to be serviced and tided on a regular basis, as required. Our onsite attendants will direct people to donate good quality items for re-use such as bikes and general household items, to be put in the store, the option will be there to place these items, if unsuitable, into the correct waste stream, when uplifting these items from the reuse cabin. Lot 1: The Service Provider will be required to: Take in re-usable unwanted household items from Baldovie Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) and Riverside HWRC Refurbish (where possible) items collected so that they are able to be re-used Provide refurbished items to customers for re-use Facilitate / encourage community recycling groups in Dundee
