Description

NRH commissioned a report into the print environment of the hospital. This report was commissioned to examine the current state of the print environment at the National Rehabilitation Hospital. As a result of this report it has been recommended to replace all current devices and systems and cover future device requirements under a new MPS contract. There are currently 35 listed network printers and MFDs and one plotter operating in the NRH of which 32 are covered under two managed print contracts. The largest grouping is of 30 Xerox printers, MFD under contract with supplier A, two Konica Minolta MFD's supplied under contract with supplier B and four printers and one plotter which are not under contract. The current breakdown of models is below: — four Xerox Phaser 3250 (supplier A), — one Xerox Phaser 3600 (supplier A), — seven Xerox 6400 (supplier A, nine under contract), — nice Xerox 7435 (supplier A), — seven Xerox 7535 (supplier A), — one Konica Minolta C454e (supplier B), — one Konica Minolta Bizhub C3351 (supplier B), — one HP DesignJet T520 24in (no contract), — one Brother DCP-9020CDCW (no contract), — one HP LJ P2015DN (no contract), — one HP LJ P2055x (no contract). It is envisaged that over the next 12 months that up to twelve new MFDs will be required in for the proposed new development, in addition to what is currently in use.
