Summary of the work NHS Improvement is looking for an experienced PMO Analyst with a track record of supporting a full project lifecycle and can provide support to delivery of NHSI's programme commitments. This business change programme provides solutions enabled by CRM, Document Management, Records & Resource Management. Specialist role Programme manager Expected Contract Length 6 months initially with the option to extend up to a maximum of 18 months. Latest start date Monday 6 November 2017 Maximum Day Rate Up to £450 inclusive of expenses, any agency fees & inclusive of VAT. Please note NHS Improvement anticipates this role will be within IR35. Who Speclialist Work With - Work in partnership with the preferred supplier's project manager & office; - Engage with key Technology and Data Department senior managers, ensuring their involvement in key decisions and activities that impact their areas of responsibility (e.g. Information Governance, IT Operations and Support, Enterprise Architect etc.); - Support and influence senior NHSI stakeholders, such as the; SRO, Programme Board, senior stakeholder group, wider change network etc.; - Workstream leads within the delivery team; - Work with the departments PMO to support the Technology Portfolio governance processes and; - Work with the department's finance business partner to facilitate programme financial management. What Specialists Work On As PMO, you will be responsible for: - Working with the internal project/programme manager and delivery partner's project manager to ensure all parties work together effectively; - Co-ordinating the work to deliver NHS Improvement's contribution to the programme; - Ensure programme governance is adhered to, project artefacts are completed; - Maintaining the project plans and RAID logs; - Facilitating the definition and delivery of mitigation plans; - Facilitate the development and implementation of the project's governance processes; - Supporting the Programme Manager in the management of stakeholders; - Working with finance to track programme spend and; - Project conflict resolution Skills & Experience • have 5 years experience in support of complex technology driven programmes, incorporating organisational wide inputs and various internal and external stakeholders (15 Points) • demonstrate experience of supporting multiple projects with both Agile and traditional project management methodologies (15 Points) • demonstrate experience of supporting more than 3 projects to agreed times, budget, and quality (10 Points) • demonstrate an ability to maintain programme plans, integrating multiple, complex technical projects that impact multiple directorates and teams. (15 Points) • demonstrate an ability to present analysis, project information, risks issues and reporting in a clear and logical way (15 Points) Nice to Haves • demontrate experience in a DevOps environment • demonstrate experience gained in large public sector organisations • demonstrate work experience of the NHS or other healthcare systems • demonstrate an in depth knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes (RAID, GANTT etc.) Work Location NHS Improvement, 133-135 Waterloo Road, London, SE1 8UG Working Arrangments We expect you to be present in the office, as face-to-face engagement is considered to be most effective. This role may involve travel to one or more regional offices including but not limited to; Taunton, Leeds, Manchester, Derby and Birmingham. Can you please confirm if the rate should be inclusive of VAT as DOS rates are usually exclusive of VAT? The up to £450 rate is inclusive of VAT (and inclusive of expenses and any agency fees). NHS Improvement anticipates this role will be within IR35. 2. What dates would we expect feedback and also when would the interview dates be? We intend to notify bidders they have been shortlisted and request additional information (work history and reference contact details), by 25 October. The format of the additional information required will be communicated with the shortlist notification.The interview dates are anticipated to be between 31 October and 2 November and will be confirmed by 25 October. 3. Would you consider someone who works 4 days per week ? This role is for a 5 day working week, Monday - Friday.
