0-19 Public Health Nursing Service (PSR Direct Award Process C - Notice of intention to make an award of a contract to the existing provider)

Description

A contract for the provision of the 0-19 Public Health Nursing Service in Isle of Wight ("the Service"), including an integrated Public Health service for pregnant women, children and young people and their families. The service also delivers the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP), a mandatory public health programme in England that measures the height and weight of children in schools to support population-level monitoring and early identification of need. Lot 1: The Authority intends to award a contract for the Service to the existing provider pursuant to Direct Award Process C under Regulation 9 of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 ("PSR"). This is a notice under Regulation 9 (3) of the Authority's intention to award the contract for the Service as described below to the existing provider. The contract supports delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, including the five mandated health and development reviews for under 5s. These cover key stages in a child's early development, from antenatal contact through to early childhood. The service also delivers the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP), a mandatory public health programme in England that measures the height and weight of children in schools to support population-level monitoring and early identification of need. The contract will be awarded for 5years from 1st April 2027 Additional information: This is a notice under Regulation 9 (3) of the PSR of the Authority's intention to award the contract for the Service to the existing provider pursuant to Direct Award Process C. The award of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this proposed award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made in writing in accordance with Regulation 12 (3) of the PSR to the Authority before midnight on 11th September 2026 via email procurement@iow.gov.uk
