PMC 3932 - Preliminary Market Consultation – Development of a large-scale solar farm on SDCC lands through a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement

An initial Solar PV feasibility report has been carried out for Arthurstown Landfill site (approx. 120acres). The report has identified a potential total installed capacity of 24.7MWp ground mounted system, utilising the full extents of the site, producing an estimated 19.8GWh of electricity per year. Based on initial favourable assessment of the site, SDCC wish to explore further the potential development. Due to the scale and speciality of the works, SDCC wish to consider partnering with, or appointing, an Energy Provider to develop the site through a financial model such as a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement. It is envisaged the competition to identify a suitable Energy Provider would include the necessary design and environmental studies required to complete the planning approval process. This will allow the Energy Provider the opportunity to have input in the design in a manner they believe maximises the opportunities of the site.
