RER Feature Project Discovery

Description

Ofgem launched the Renewable Electricity Register (RER) product in May 2025. This register has replaced the long running Renewables & CHP (Combined Heat & Power) Register, which was developed in 2007. The RER has been designed to carry over existing R&CHP functionality to a more usable modern system. The May launch covered the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) functionality, with additional work required between 0-6, 6-12, or 12+ months in the product backlog. Ofgem requires the supplier to complete a discovery exercise on the end to end service to fully understand the current issues and evaluate the work remaining to provide recommendations on priority.
