Repair and maintenance services of central heating

Description

Provide maintenance, repair and installation services for heating systems within domestic dwellings connected to district and communal heating systems operated by Aberdeen Heat and Power. Aberdeen Heat and Power (AHP) are tendering for a contractor to provide a responsive maintenance and repair service for those properties supplied with space and water heating from the Aberdeen City CHP district heating network, and the ad hoc installation of heating to those properties not currently supplied from the CHP DH Network. This requires a reactive service in response to calls from householders and Aberdeen City Council staff, with regard heating issues within the dwellings. Provision of an on-call service for calls and referrals outwith normal working hours (including weekends) is essential. A typical year will have around 1 100 referrals, of which about 10 % will be outwith normal working hours. The installation requirement is on an ad-hoc basis for the installation of a wet radiator system to connect flats (currently electrically heated) within multi-storey blocks supplied by the DH Network. The buildings currently connected to the CHP Network are: Stockethill/Cairncry: Woodhill, Castleton, Beechwood, Oldcroft, Stockethill, Rosehill, Cairncry and Cornhill Courts. Hilton Court, Stewart Park Court and Granitehill House. Hazlehead: Rose, Bruce, Davidson and Wallace Houses, 2 janitors houses in Groats Road and Denseat Court. Seaton: Seaton, Donview and Seaview Houses, Promenade, Regent Linksfield, Bayview, North Sea, Aulton, Beachview, Inverdon, Balgownie, St Ninian and Lord Hays Courts. Tillydrone: Donside, Grandholm, St Machar, Elphinstone, Kings, Tillydrone and Meadow Courts. Other domestic dwellings connected to district or communal heating, outwith the CHP Network, that AHP are responsible for maintaining on behalf of Aberdeen City Council are: Grampian, Morven, and Brimmond Courts, Kincorth Land, Balmoral and Gairn Courts, Regensburg Court, Mastrick Land, Smithfield Court, Ashgrove Court, Fountain Grange.
