Description

Wolverhampton Homes (WH) is an Arm's Length Management Organisation (ALMO) wholly owned by the City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC) and manages circa 22,000 domestic dwellings within Wolverhampton. WH operates a housing repairs and maintenance service, a capital investment and refurbishment programme and is involved in the construction of new homes. WH is also a licensed asbestos contractor and has other miscellaneous buildings and open space management responsibilities across the city. This contract is a four-year contract. Initial term is three years with an option to extend for one further year.\r \r Description of the Service Required\r \r WH is seeking to appoint a holistic, efficient, timely, reliable and cost-effective waste management service primarily covering the following FOUR (4) services:\r \r • Temporary Skip Hire Service: Supply, delivery, collection and emptying of waste disposal containers and skips, including asbestos; \r \r • Tipping Facility: Provision of a waste transfer / tipping / recycling centre, including asbestos that provides 'cost and time' efficient transfer & storage of WH waste;\r \r • Static Skip Service: Supply, delivery, collection and emptying of segregated waste disposal containers at a designated site(s) of WH; and \r \r • Ad-hoc kerbside waste collection Service: Provision for general waste collections from any location within the City.\r \r
